Castlegar-Robson Bridge, Castlegar, BC
Joseph Hanna oversaw the Castlegar-Robson Bridge project, spanning the Columbia River from Castlegar to Robson in BC. The 475-meter bridge, supported by six piers with 73-meter spans, included the construction of 2.5 kilometers of approach road.
The project incorporated a 100-meter tunnel for a railroad spur to a pulp and paper mill and sawmill upstream from the bridge. With 350,000 cubic meters of borrow fill and robust substructure, Joseph Hanna ensured successful bridge construction and associated infrastructure.
